Only You Are Worthy
Only You Are Worthy is a casual game with slight idler and RPG mechanics. You are a weapon, looking for someone worthy enough to carry you throughout a journey. As more people try to wield you, you slowly grow your strength, building up your power to become a legendary weapon that can bestow one glorious power.
0. Play 80% of the game by dragging abilities from left to right, purchasing them with you and your wielder's Experience.
1. There is a Combat Log and Help button at the game's bottom left and right corner.
2. The game is made for Pirate Software's Game Jam.
3. Active Abilities are abilities you can activate by right-clicking them, while Unique Abilities can't have duplicates on owned.

So after the tutorial ended I felt a little lost until I messed around with the trays a bit more. I thought I had to just click on the buttons on one side and it would activate but eventually I dragged it to the other side and it finally clicked for me. I think my brain panicked and totally missed the help button. Maybe with time a mock battle taking you through the steps or something in the UI to make the help button more noticeable? All most likely a skill issue on my part. Over all the gameplay was great and I enjoyed the battle as I got into it! Infinite mode was a very great idea to add to increase replayability. Overall great entry!
Rube's feedback
- At higher speed, players take more damage. May be due to _process and _physics_process interaction at higher speed, unable to keep up.
- Suggested to add helpful stats in pause screen, things like a list of Abilities and what each of them does.
- Better credits needed.
- Work on better Weapon variations
- Add "Buy New Row" to Endless mode
- Fix HP Scaling to vary between different class/role
- Fix Music looping on pause. Web Godot doesn't work with Audio looping, custom script needed. Can simply put signal when the music ends, to start it again. .wav doesn't have loop metadata, but .ogg does.
- Quinten: "When dealing with audio in web you need to make sure you interact with the game by click or input before playing anything or your browser session loses audio permissions"
- Myself: You can definitely replace "selling Abilities", instead of returning half EXP, it heals the user instead. It gives players a way to sustain health.
- Myself: To steer from auto, when a wielder die, you can add a feature where you get to choose one of three upgrades, different from ability. If you want, maybe, who knows.
Enjoyable experience! I would say the icons have pretty good art
Kewl game! Can't say this genre is anywhere near my domain, but I can say I definitely enjoyed it :) !
Lifesteal: as mentioned before, is OP xD, but not being able to get it every single time makes for a more balanced experience, which I appreciate!
Music is great, and the art has lots of nostalgia peppered in, great work amigos! Keep it up! :] <3
10/10 game, broken build tho, turned your game into an afk hyper speed, it got laggy at one point tho, but did enjoy!
Can you tell me how the game became broken? And yeah, the lag was something I expect since I couldn't fix the memory leak in time.
Edit: I realized you're currently on Endless mode, which was outside of my debugging range. Though, thanks for playing! I did wanted to add some features to Endless mode but there wasn't much time, haha.
Just DMG, life steal and Acc combined cx
Really enjoyed this entry. It's simple enough to play. Good chip tunes. I really loved the art style for this! Reminds me of NewGrounds/early 2000's vector graphics. Encountered a bug at the beginning and end. I enjoyed the idleness and getting to get really powerful stuff. Lifesteal is amazing.
1. At the beginning the help screen overlays while the action is playing in the background. I think if the help screen is up it should pause the game.
2 the Return to Main Menu button didn't work. Had to restart to play again.
Both pretty minor bugs. Great job!
Thanks for the feedback! I think I can definitely hook up the help view to the pause button quickly enough, and I'll try to see how the return to main menu can be fixed. Again, thanks for playing the game!
